day 3

Today we had to meet at Drummer Street Bus Station at 09:45. Then we had two hours for doing our “Field Work”. So we had to interview staff of special professions about their lives in Cambridge and their occupation. We were asking questions like “What skills do you need to be a waitress?” or “Do you like Cambridge?”. If they allowed us to take a picture of them, we took one. At about twelve o`clock we met in front of the EC- school building. Before we went to school, we had had a two and a half hour lunch break. We, for example, went to the well-known pub “The Eagle” and ate fish & chips, a typical British meal. In the EC- Shool we had to invent a play. Ours was called “The Time Machine”. It had to be a period story, involving a British sport and the clothes, which had been worn in the past.We had short rehearsals and after that we presented it. It was quite funny and weird.

At 17:45 we were allowed to leave school. We went home by bus, line Arbury 1, and for dinner we got spaghetti with meat sauce. Mmmmh...

MARKET SQUARE

Today was the 3rd day of our English journey. We had to be at the meeting point at 12 o'clock. The others had to meet earlier because they had to do their Interviews in the city. We had to stay home because we took our interview with the host family. When we arrived at the city centre we first went to the shopping centre to buy some nice things and then we went on to have lunch. At 2:25 pm we arrived at the meeting point next to our school. There we had lessons for about 3 hours. At a quarter to six we met our teachers again and they told us when and where we had to be at the meeting point the next day. We went straight back to our host family where we got dinner and then spend the evening in our room and had a lot of fun. We wrote our diary entry and went to bed.
