Higlight of the week --- PUNTING on the River CAM

Today at a quarter to nine we met  in front of our school because at nine o'clock the school started. It was the last three hours which we spent at ec-school. We learned about complaints and talked about which shops we would want to open in Cambridge. After everyone had presented his idea, we played a game called Tabu. At a quarter past twelve the school ended and we had two and a half hour to eat lunch and go shopping. Then we had to find the way to the punting station on by ourselves. So we had to go to Mill Lane and follow the street as far as we arrived at a park. We walked through it and then next to the river Cam we found the punting station. There we met our teachers and then we went in groups of six people onto the punts. Every group had one paddle and one pole to guide it. It was very funny but also exhausting. Few of us got very wet and some people fell in the water! We think it wasn't fine because the water was very dirty and cold! But it was also awesome. We had to leave the punts after one and a half hour. Our teachers told us where and when we had to get together on the next day. So it was half past four and we were allowed to spend the rest of our time with our friends and do what we wanted, but we had to be back at home at half past nine, like every other day.

Today we had to be in class at 9:00 again. It was the first time the bus wasn't late, so we were in the Grand Arcade at 8:30. The first group’s task was to go out to look at the different shops and stalls in the Grand Arcade and at the market place. After that, we spoke about the different shops and had to think of a gap in the market. Because it was the last day at ec- school we received our certificates afterwards. In the second group we spoke about the shops we had to make up yesterday. We also learned how to complain but stay polite. Then we also got our certificates. Afterwards Elias, Lorenz and us walked around the market. We ate something at McDonalds and then spent some time in the library. At 14:45 we all met up at Mill Lane to go punting. We two were on one boat with Sarah, Lorenz, Elias and Prof. Staudegger. It was very funny and we "punted" for one and a half hours. At 17:00 we finished, and after Prof. Staudegger had paid a drink for all of us, we went home by bus. In the evening we ate Yorkshire Pudding with chicken, which was very tasty.
